National Airspace System

Pilots should exercise extreme caution while flying within an MOA when military activity is being conducted. The activity status (active/inactive) of MOAs may change frequently. Therefore, pilots should contact ATC within 100 miles of the area to obtain accurate real-time information concerning the MOA hours of operation. While no clearance is necessary, prior to entering an active MOA, pilots should contact the controlling agency for traffic advisories

The FAA Near Midair Collision System (NMACS) indicates that 81% of the incidents occurred in clear skies and unrestricted visibility conditions.

Restricted Areas can be penetrated but only with the permission of the controlling agency. No person may operate an aircraft within a restricted area contrary to the restrictions imposed unless they have the permission of the using or controlling agency. Penetration of restricted areas without authorization from the using or controlling agency may be fatal to the aircraft and its occupants.

NOTAMs provide the most current information available and can be found by visiting www.faa.gov or obtained from an FSS. A comprehensive weather briefing can be obtained as part of a standard preflight briefing.

Runway 6 faces northeast on a 060 heading thus arriving aircraft will be on final approach southwest of the airport. Since you are operating south of the airport, you would want to avoid areas west (which would be closer to the final approach course) and north (closer to the airport and possibly the final approach course for Runway 6).
