Practice Exam Objective
The Practice Exam section is designed to assess the student’s readiness for the FAA Remote Pilot Knowledge Test following completion of the five instructional lessons. This section provides two full-length FAA-style practice exams, with questions mapped directly to the Part 107 Airman Certification Standards (ACS) knowledge areas covered in each lesson.
Through these practice exams, students will:
- Demonstrate mastery of Part 107 knowledge domains, including Regulations, the National Airspace System, Weather, Preflight Considerations, and Flight Operations
- Apply learned concepts in exam-level scenarios, using FAA-style multiple-choice questions structured to reflect official test topic distribution
- Identify knowledge strengths and weaknesses by reviewing performance across lesson-mapped ACS categories
- Practice time management and exam strategy in a testing environment that mirrors the FAA knowledge test format
- Reinforce regulatory interpretation, risk assessment, and operational decision-making required for real-world Remote Pilot operations
Upon completion, students will be able to evaluate their exam readiness, target remaining study areas, and approach the FAA Remote Pilot Knowledge Test with confidence, having demonstrated performance aligned with FAA ACS standards.
Practice Exam Instructions
The practice exams in the Remote Pilot Ground School are designed to simulate a real FAA Knowledge Test experience and prepare you for success.
Read each question carefully and select your answer (A, B, or C). All questions are based on the latest aviation regulations and official study materials. Make sure you understand each question before reviewing the possible answers.
If a question includes a figure or image, click ‘View Figure’ to open it in a pop-up window. (In the real exam, similar figures will be provided separately.)
For questions that involve calculations or performance data, use your CX-3 or any permitted flight computer. In this online system, there’s no built-in calculator, but you can use your own device or paper notes as allowed during practice.
If you’re unsure about a question, you can skip it and come back later using the question navigation Panel. This allows you to move freely between questions and manage your time effectively.
Each question must have an answer selected before you submit your test. Any unanswered question will automatically be marked as incorrect.
After finishing all questions, click ‘Finish Quiz’ to submit. Your score will appear instantly, and you can review your detailed results – including each question, the correct answer, your selected option, and an explanation.
You can retake the test anytime to improve your performance. If you consistently score 80% of higher on AeroWare practice tests, you’re ready for the official FAA Knowledge Exam.
For additional details about timing, allowed materials, and test format, see the next lesson: “About the FAA Knowledge Test.”
