The "47" at area 4 is the line of latitude (also called parallels) is north and south from the equator.

Meridians of longitude encircle the earth from pole to pole, and all meridians cross the equator at right angles.Answer (A) is incorrect because lines of latitude are parallel to the equator. Answer (C) is incorrect because the 0 degree line of longitude passes through Greenwich, England.

Effective scanning is accomplished with a series of short, regularly spaced eye movements that bring successive areas of the sky into the central visual field. Each movement should not exceed 10°, and each area should be observed for at least one second to enable detection.
